Objective: The Carrier Baggage project challenges you to translate the emotional and aesthetic discoveries from Feeling Objective into a wearable form—a hybrid bag that carries both objects and stories. By combining narrative, material, and form, you will design and construct a bag that functions as both a container and a storyteller, reflecting your hybrid aesthetic. Through pattern-making, sewing, and iterative modeling, you will explore how fabric, texture, and structure can express meaning and emotion. The project emphasizes storytelling through material hybridity.
Untamed:
My project tells the story of a character who embodies a free-spirited energy, inspired by the raw authenticity of the Wild West. This character lives with a sense of independence and grit, someone guided by instinct, freedom, and connection to the land. My bag draws inspiration from the form and function of a western saddle. The accompanying props: a pair of worn leather gloves, a small leather pouch for valuables, and a bandana, represent the daily objects of this character.
